New Stat on MLB Sweeps

I have added a new stat to MLBSweeps.com.

A popular request among site visitors was what is the correlation between a team winning/losing the first game of a series and then subsequently completing the sweep or getting swept. I have now added the stats to answer these questions. On the Statistics page, you will now find a new stat, “Win 1st Game, Complete Sweep” under the Home Teams and Road Teams headings. For instance, historically, a home team that wins the first game of a 3-game series will win the next 2 games and complete the sweep 31% of the time.

The new stat has also been added throughout the site, in addition to the main Statistics page. On each Total Sweeps by Year page, you will see the stat for that particular year. And for the Advanced Stat package members, the stat has been added to the Team History page where you can see the stat specifically for each team.

Thank you to everyone that visits the site and keep sending your questions/comments to @MLBSweeps on Twitter and Facebook or emailing me directly at Mike (at) MikesPickzWS (dot) com. I try my best to respond to them all.

Share and Enjoy!
